CHUG N’ GRUB is a marriage between two fun brands. It is the love child of a foodie top 5 blog, FEASTMODE™, and a humorous urban t-shirt brand FRESH N’ CRISP™. The marriage came about as both brands realized that they needed an outlet / voice for their love of roadtrips, craft beer and cocktails, and their insane love for good food from all over the world. The result is a fun, educational, foodie and craft drink lover blog that invites merchandise and culture to the stage.
When approached to create this offspring of the two brands, I was told – “Think PAC-MAN on acid!” — I ran with it, and the result became the NOM-NOM TWINS. This came from an exasperated result of create a funky amerpsand, then the N’ symbol, and finally it just took a life of its own when the mascots received a push for further exploration.
The result was a fun exploration through illustration, that I have to admit is Ralph Steadman inspired, and through all that craziness finding a way to create solid branding, color palletes, and a spankin’ new responsive blog and ever-growing instagram account.
